Yandex Qazaqstan introduces AI solution for retail sector

Yandex Retail /tech will help store owners and retail chains increase efficiency and enhance customer experience

Yandex Qazaqstan has announced the launch of a new B2B direction, Yandex Retail /tech, offering software (SaaS modules) to improve online business efficiency, as well as modern AI solutions for the retail sector and other industries. The implementation of these technologies will assist local stores, supermarkets, and retail chains in digitizing their business, increasing efficiency, and enhancing the customer experience.

Yandex Retail /tech includes solutions for fulfillment, commerce, marketing, delivery, customer experience, and analytics. These solutions consist of a customer application and website for shoppers with extensive internal product promotion settings, as well as applications for pickers and couriers. The company provides comprehensive solutions for dark stores, warehouse management systems (WMS), assortment management (ERP), and product information management (PIM). Inventory tracking, automated product replenishment, courier order assignment technologies, logistics management, including AI routing, help desk for internal customer support. In addition, Yandex Retail /tech offers AI consulting services and market entry strategy development for any industry.

As part of the new direction, the company introduces the «Smart Store» project for operational management automation in retail. Its goal is to provide offline retailers with a system that will make processes inside the store more transparent. The key technology of the «Smart Store» is computer vision. Using special cameras, it collects and organizes data about the store and creates a digital twin of the store. Yandex develops the cameras independently. According to the company, implementing the «Smart Store» can help partners increase operational efficiency by 30%, increase shelf stocking, leading to a minimum 2% turnover growth.

«Our solutions will help companies optimize processes, achieve 99.9% accuracy in inventory management, reduce costs, improve customer experience, and enhance competitiveness in a rapidly changing environment. Retailers can implement both a complex of technologies and individual modules — for example, a smart assortment management system,» noted Timur Shalekenov, head of Yandex Qazaqstan.
